Twenty Third Street Distillery is named for its location on the corner of Twenty Third Street & Renmark Avenue in Renmark, South Australia. Situated in the former home of known wine labels which include Hardy’s Wine, Berri Estate and Chateau Tanunda. The site closed in 2004 and was then reopened in 2016 as Twenty Third Street Distillery. They boast three South Australian built copper stills which hold approximately a 7,500 litre capacity.

You say whisky, I say whiskey. Let’s call the whole thing intriguing. 23rd St dare to blend the best of both worlds: Scotch with Bourbon. Round malted flavours, rich sherry characters and toasty oak bamboozle and seduce. Why can’t we all get along this well?

Tasting Notes

Distinctive, unusual, delicious. Toasty Oak aromas with hints of sweet sherry are lifted and sweetened by floral and fruity notes. Rounded malt like flavours and the rich sherry characters are evident on the palate, with toasty oak and some what oily nuttiness to the finish. To be savoured neat or with a little water or ice.
