I am NOT a professional Scotch taster or anything like that – if you are after those reviews then look elsewhere! I am just an average Joe who has drunk plenty of Scotch through the years and there are a few that are never absent from my collection. This is one. I think a bottle of the 12 Year is a given for anyone who is taking a dabble into the Scotch realm! The Macallan is always easy to drink, doesn’t have too much of an ‘advanced’ flavour profile (just in my humble opinion!) so it is always going to suit most Scotch drinkers tastes I would think. Soft and smooth in the mouth with a light-ish aftertaste.
This has been given a little nudge at the top of my list by another Scotch recently…however I think reason will follow shortly and it will remain planted at the top. Absolutely beautiful.
